Sling TV - March Madness


The team at DISH Network brought me on to animate a 30-second spot for Sling TV’s March Madness campaign. The challenge was to create something that felt exciting, incorporated custom 3D visuals, and felt in line with the existing Sling branding within an extremely limited time span of less than a month.
I worked with the internal copywriting team to create styleframes and storyboards, while creating an animatic with scratch VO and stock music options to guide the flow. The script was still being approved and re-arranged throughout the process, so I tried to work in a way that would allow us to re-use elements and leave padding on scenes for last-minute retiming shifts in edit. Their talented in-house animator, Chad O’Donnell, handled the 2D animation of the bracket and price lockup, and VO and SFX were completed out-of-house.
