Carousel brought me on to design custom content for a 70+ slide event presentation for the Georgia Ports Authority: graphs, maps, and 3D graphics with built-in “pause points” for an audience of 250+.

The real challenge was flexibility. Content could (and did) change right up until the event, so everything needed to be engaging and easy to update. Designing re-usable backgrounds and full-screen templates helped, but a lot of the work lived in the “specialty 3D infographic” category. Getting a solid look straight out of Redshift (without heavy compositing) let us move fast and still use the 3D models we had access to. Design-wise I was constantly balancing complexity against readability, while trying to push the requested “Star Wars-y / futuristic” feel without drifting too far from the existing brand. I also had to decide how much to “templatize” or rig so last-minute changes wouldn’t break everything.
