After CBS Chicago’s Design Director Sarah Urquhart wrote this beautiful script for Black History Month, I dove in head first at the opportunity to bring it to life through animation. Though it’s impossible to even come close to distilling Black History down to a 30 second spot, we tried our best to examine the many layers and stay true to the subject. We rolled out a digital campaign as well for February, highlighting key figures in Chicago’s history through daily Instagram posts.
